1st Stewkley Beaver Scouts are young boys and girls usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest section in the scouting family. Our colony is a friendly and active place for your child to join – we get up to all sorts of things, including day visits, sleepovers, arts and crafts, exploring the outdoors, parades and much more. Recently we have enjoyed trips to Bigrock Climbing Centre, Pantomine in Aylesbury, visited a local pet shop, and had a sponsored hike in the village. The colony has also enjoyed a visit to a local Alpaca Farm and a trip to the RAF Museum in Hendon.
This year we finished the term with a water fight at the local Recreation ground to let off steam!
We also have visitors to our Colony, a Pilot, Guide Dog, Zumba Instructor, Police Officer, Sign Language Teacher, Blood Bikes Rider, St. John Ambulance Cadet to name just a few.
The Beavers also help to represent the Scout Group twice a year, parading on Remembrance Day and St. George’s day.
Most of all we have fun !!
